Birmingham Fashion Photography - Bridals
Over the summer, I decided that I wanted to do more in-studio and fashion work, but also incorporate weddings so I scheduled a date in August for my first in-studio fashion shoot. Now, I just needed to decide what and who to shoot! It occurred to me that the focus should be on bridals after happening across the Bella's Bridal and Formal shop at Patton Creek one night after dinner with my family. My 4 year old stopped in front of their shop and told me how much she wanted me to get her the princess dress that was in the window there. Of course, I snapped a picture of this cute moment with my iphone and immediately shared it with the world. Another reason I chose Bella's Bridal and Formal is because many of my brides' dresses are purchased there. You can view a couple of those recent weddings here and here. Carol at Bella's was so kind and helpful when I asked if she was interested in participating. I was prepared to have to convince her to trust me with her dresses, but when I asked she just said yes! Now, I just needed models, hair & make-up, and florals.
Hair and make-up had to be Rawwbeauty, because I have worked with Jackie and her team before and they are INCREDIBLE! However, I suspected that Jackie would be booked with weddings. I was right, but she did have a couple on girls on her team that agreed to work with me. I was thrilled! Tammy is an amazing hair stylist and Casey blew me away with her make-up skills. She has even started her own company now.
I can’t say enough about my models! Abigail is a former wedding client and has modeled for me before at my Altar’d State photoshoot. Ashlyn is a client and has worked with me in-studio as a model before too. I adore these two ladies. They are just as beautiful on the inside…
The last thing for me to line up was the florals. As I was contemplating a florist to contact, I saw the most recent florist I had worked with on Talk of Alabama! Of course, it seemed like it was meant to be right then so I contacted Brooke of BKWed to see if she could work with me on this project. She said yes and made my day.
Below is the result of our collaboration.
My sweet Golden Retriever decided to join us for the last shot of the day! Ashlyn is a fellow dog lover so I couldn't resist a photo of these two:)
